Today’s blog is a guest post from a friend and fellow animal lover, Sandy Cowley:
Aloe Vera for Dogs
Aloe Vera is not something that is new, its benefits have been known for thousands of years, but did you know that it works equally as well on animals as it does on humans?
Most people know Aloe Vera as the ‘Burns Plant’ as it is well known for its healing properties on burns or scalds. It is however, more than just a plant for burns.
If you break an aloe leaf in half, you will find it contains a light green gel and this is where all the goodness is. The main area’s that aloe works on are the skin and the immune system, but not just the external skin, the digestive system and respiratory system, can also benefit from it.
So which products can you use with your dogs?
There are lots, but the ones I want to introduce you to today are the Aloe Vera Gel; Aloe Veterinary Formula, Aloe Vera Gelly and Forever Bright Toothgel.
The Aloe Vera Gel, consists of the stabilised inner leaf gel of the plant, which contains over 75 known nutrients, in a natural balance that helps to maintain all the signs of a healthy animal. It can be added to your dog’s food, or some prefer it in their water. It can help maintain a healthy appetite, suppleness of joints, energy levels and it also has a soothing effect.
The Aloe Veterinary Formula is high in stabilised aloe vera gel, with a convenient nozzle applicator and can be sprayed directly on to tender areas on your dog to soothe or cleanse before dressing or applying Aloe Vera Gelly. The Formula can also be sprayed onto animal coats after bathing, for extra shine and condition.
Aloe Vera Gelly can be used as a topical preparation to calm irritated skin and help reduce scar formation. It is a thick gel with antibacterial properties, which lubricates and soothes tissue in sensitive areas. It’s highly penetrative properties are easily absorbed.
Forever Bright Toothgel is well liked by Forever’s human customers! This high-in-aloe, refreshing tooth gel is ideal for your pets teeth too. Reducing the build up of plaque and tartar on the teeth, while gently soothing the gum areas, it has a low abrasiveness factor and leaves teeth sparkling clean.
I have put together some information packs on Forever’s aloe products for dogs, so if you would like to find out more, please get in touch and I will put one in the post for you. I also have Sample Boxes of the products you can have tottery for a few days and there is no charge for this and no obligation to buy.
